NEW YORK, NY February 05, 2010 /Healthcare PR News/ -- The Center for Autism and Related Disorders, Inc. At one time or the other every parent deals with their child's challenging behavior and picky eating. But when the child has autism and challenging behavior and picky eating is the norm, the situation can feel hopeless. New York autism expert and CARD Research Manager Dr. Melissa Olive offers parents, teachers and practitioners solutions this Wednesday on to how to work with children who are resistant eaters and discuss the best approaches to increase the variety of foods they will eat.
According to Dr. Olive, "Many children with such challenging behaviors need assistance in areas that can be addressed on a short term basis, including refusing certain foods based on color or texture or engaging in tantrums at the grocery store." Dr. Olive will share her expertise on addressing this issue. She will also teach the audience how to tackle these problematic behaviors at home or in school.
The workshop will be offered three times on their respective days.
